Pipa Shan Park (345m) is situated on Mount Pipa in the centre of Chongqing and commands a magnificent view of the city proper. Once a private garden owned by Wang Lingji, the chairman of the Sichuan Government from 1911 to 1949, it was confiscated after liberation in 1949 and extended into a park by the People's Government.
