Sunday CAFE has been meeting continuously since its founding in 2007 to promote conversation among expats and the local community. CAFE stands for Chinese And Foreigner Exchange.

If you would like to explore the history of the group, check out: CAFE Club; then Sunday CAFE; then International Gathering/New Sunday CAFE CQ for the full ten years (can you believe) of photos and commentaries. Kind of interesting!

We meet EVERY SUNDAY (even during holidays, festivals, etc.) afternoon from 3pm to 6pm. Meetings are now held permanently at Expat Club Koala Garden Coffee (L5-7 Landmark Riverside Park, Nan'an District. ϰλ㹺﹫԰L5-7԰). This is NOT an English corner, just an opportunity to socialize and make new friends.

Our WeChat Group

Invitation only (a rule set by WeChat for group of over 100 members). Please attend the meeting and ask people to invite you to Sunday Cafe WeChat Group.

Originally founded in 2007 as the English Conversation Club by our dear friend, Jim Zacker, it was shortly renamed to C.A.F.E. for Chinese and Foreigner Exchange.

The purpose of this club is not only to engage in English conversation, but also to foster friendships.  Unlike formal meetings where we hope to get a large group, these meetings will happen as long as there are two people to converse with each other.

Quote: "I have read some comments on this web site about people being lonely/bored in Chongqing because they have no English speaking friends. This is their opportunity to change that. It is also an opportunity for English speaking Chinese members to get more exposure to English. You are invited to join us." Jim Z.
