Chongqing now has four Railway Stations. 

Cai yuan ba  菜园坝 is the biggest and most central station with trains departing to destinations all over China.

Sha ping ba 沙坪坝 is also called the West Station and can be found opposite Carrefour on theThree Gorges Square .  There are fewer departures from here.

 North Train Station 火车北站 and Long tou si 龙头寺  in Jiangbei,  the city's newest  with regular departures from Longtousi 龙头寺 of the new fast train between Chengdu and Chongqing. 

Long distance trains bound for some north, south and east destinations depart from the North Stations 火车北站.

A swag of ticket sales booths have recently opened across the city taking the stress and pressure out of purchasing train tickets in advance or on heavy traffic days.
