South Mountain Park is home to Chongqing’s Botanical Gardens, an amalgamation of several gardens including the Camellia, Bonsai and Cherry Blossom Gardens. The mountain top parkland is known for its flowers and shrubs and includes Huangshan, Daishan, Yuanshan, Wangshan, and Jiangshan, an area of more than 400 hectares. During the Anti-Japanese War important KMT Government officials and foreign envoys built villas here in the relative safety of this heavily wooded mountain overlooking the Yangtze River.

Location - South Mountain Nan Shan, Nanan District, Chongqing (ϰɽ)
