Located on the ridge of Mount Eling in the Yuzhong District, the park is so named because its topography resembles a goose neck. Mount Eling in central Chongqing is an ideal spot with a commanding view of Chongqing Port, where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers join forces.

The park is less than two kilometers from either river with one flowing on the left, and the other on the right and is one of the premier spots for enjoying the night lights of Chongqing.
