To Whom it May Concern:
My name is Seth Steele. I am currently living in Grand Rapids, Mi, United States, but I am hoping to move abroad to Chongqing, China as soon as the borders reopen, and myself and my dog can emigrate. I believe that the USA has failed its citizens and that China has done a much better job as far as containing the COVID virus. I also believe that China is the future, and without collaboration with you, the US will be unable to move forward in any meaningful way. I have been looking into your country for over a year, and I have become absolutely obsessed with Chongqing, and have sporadically been in contact with IChongqing's Chief Editor, Catherine Chen. I love the megalopolis with all my heart and am hoping to emigrate as soon as the borders are reopened. I was hoping you at the embassy might have more information as to how myself and my seven year old dog can move forward. I would love to move to Chongqing by 2022... But let me tell you a little more about myself.
I graduated Cum Laude from Compass College of Cinematic Arts in 2011, and was selected to direct a thesis short film, which was titled "The Dream Collector." It was shown at a number of film festivals around the state, and was nominated for several awards at The Uptown Film Festival.
After that, I worked on a number of short and feature films such as Joshua Courtade's "Black Paper" and "20 Years Later", and a horror film called "Best Seller." I then transitioned into working for a local television program called Morning Mix on Fox 17 in 2014 in Grand Rapids, MI and I have been working there ever since. I have also worked freelance for Pam Spring Advertising for over a decade. I helped to conceptualize and produce hundreds of ads for dozens of clients.
I use Adobe products on a daily basis, and am familiar with Final Cut Pro and several other editing softwares. I have shot on multiple types of cameras. I have used Squarespace extensively as I used to help manage a blog and podcast on film called True Myth Media. I am no longer working for True Myth Media, but during my time there the podcast was popular enough that we were invited to the Traverse City Film Festival. I have linked a few videos below, including my Demo Reel, the trailer for The Dream Collector, and two segments I shot for Morning Mix: Ludington Tourism and Poke Toki. I have attached my resume with references, as well as a recent link to my Linkedin Profile, which I have been updating with current videos I have worked on.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me and I will respond as soon as I can!

Thank you so much for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. More than anything, I hope to work for you and your government to improve the relations between english speaking visitors and the citizens of Chongqing.

All the Best,
-Seth Steele
