iArt Youth Art Project - Dystopia
29 Dec2019
The 2nd iArt youth project is opened now until December 29th at Yuan Museum of 1891 mall on Nanbin lu.

The 40 artists  in the 2nd iArt Youth Art Project are selected from the contributions of 621 artists from all over the world of about 6000 pieces of work materials.

The Yuan Contemporary Art Museum has sponsored the young artists to explore cities of convergence point to connect their past, present and future.

This Dystopia contemporary art exhibition, from the perspective of young artists, presents ideas on various cities with different cultural backgrounds.

The multimedia and multi-dimensional works provides new perspectives on human development strategies for the present and future cities.

With visual imaginations of urban development, the land use, and the community construction for new generations, this exhibition not only traces the social developments, but also witnesses the the history.

The four themes includes: Old Town and Homesickness, Present City and Reflection, Ideal City and Ecology, Future City and Intelligence.

Dystopia is an aritist term of the intellectual reflection on future technology, ecology, class, authoritarian and other topics.  As Anti-Utopia, it symbolizes the collapses of optimistic evolutionism. In Dystopian works, the future with distorted  high technology is not Gospel for people.

The exhibition is free and the 1891 mall is next to the Sheraton Hotel on Nanbin lu.
